Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of VakilFirm, a case and practice management application provided by Aura Media Works LLP ("VakilFirm," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using VakilFirm, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the law firm you represent ("Firm").

1. What VakilFirm is

VakilFirm is software that helps law firms organize cases, hearings, documents, and client records, and gives clients limited access to matters a Firm chooses to share with them. VakilFirm is a technology platform only. We do not provide legal advice, do not review the content Firms enter, and are not a party to the legal representation between a Firm and its clients.

2. Accounts and access

A Firm is responsible for the accuracy of the information it enters, for who it grants access to its account, and for its staff's compliance with these Terms. Account credentials must not be shared, and a Firm must promptly disable access for staff who no longer need it. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of an account.

3. Client access

Where a Firm grants a client access to VakilFirm, that access is limited to the matters and documents the Firm has chosen to share. A Firm is responsible for determining what is appropriate to share with a client under its own professional obligations.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use VakilFirm to: upload content you do not have the right to share; attempt to access another Firm's data or another user's account; interfere with or disrupt the service; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Content and ownership

A Firm retains ownership of the case data, client information, and documents it uploads to VakilFirm ("Firm Content"). By uploading Firm Content, a Firm grants us only the rights needed to store, process, and display that content back to authorized users as part of operating the service. We claim no ownership over Firm Content.

6. Availability and support

We aim to keep VakilFirm available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, and features may change as the product evolves.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to VakilFirm if a Firm materially violates these Terms, in particular any misuse that risks the security or data of other Firms. A Firm may stop using VakilFirm at any time; see our Privacy Policy for how account data is handled after termination.

8. Disclaimers

VakilFirm is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. VakilFirm does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for professional legal judgment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aura Media Works LLP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of VakilFirm, or for the accuracy of Firm Content entered by Firms.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify Firms through the application.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
